"A new thing"

I am learning at the moment in my recovery that sometimes we need to let go of the old to embrace the new things that are just beginning to grow up, or even to give them space to grow. Personally I find this difficult and sometimes painful and only through looking back can I see why I needed to take those small tentative vulnerable steps.

"Every change starts as one small step in what can seem to be a very bleak place. Every new tender vulnerable shoot has the potential to grow into a strong and beautiful tree which in turn brings life to others."
